At home: Table to Table

Table to Table is a community-based food rescue program that collects prepared and perishable food that would otherwise be wasted and delivers it to organizations that serve the hungry in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic counties in New Jersey. 1.2 million people in New Jersey are hungry, including 1 in 5 children. World Finer Foods supports Table to Table by participating in its Bag A Lunch, Help a Bunch fundraiser – both assembling donation bags and offering the chance for employees to contribute to the fundraiser with a matching donation from the company. WFF also donates product that is included in gift bags for fundraising events. World Finer Foods also holds a series of “Casual for a Cause” dress-down days to raise additional funds for the organization, as well as sending employee teams to assist with the mobile farmer’s market in Newark in the Spring and Summer.
